These unique vegan tamales are a blend of traditional flavor and unconventional fillings. Lentils, green beans and carrots mingle with our spicy, savory, and slightly sweet Mami’s Mole Sauce. Dark green French lentils (also known as puy lentils) hold their texture throughout cooking and give the filling a rich, earthy flavor and texture that goes perfectly with our mole. We make our tamales in the traditional way, and our masa is always perfectly moist, and in just the right ratio to the filling.
We recommend topping these tamales with our Mami’s Mole Sauce. Heat the mole, thin it a little with water or broth, and drizzle over the top.
Our tamales are vegetarian, gluten-free, non-GMO and certified organic. To keep our tamales free from pesticides and GMOs, we use food-grade paper wrappers. Our tamales will arrive frozen and keep for up to one year in the freezer.
