To create these vegan tamales, we sautée thick slices of portobello mushrooms and chunks of red potato, onion and garlic in olive oil. Then we add our handmade Red Enchilada Sauce for richly flavored tamales with a satisfying texture. We make our tamales in the traditional way, and our masa is always perfectly moist, and in just the right ratio to the filling.
We recommend topping these tamales with our Roasted Tomato Salsa. The fresh, spicy flavor compliments the savory mushroom and potato filling.
Our tamales are vegetarian, gluten-free, non-GMO and certified organic. To keep our tamales free from pesticides and GMOs, we use food-grade paper wrappers. Our tamales will arrive frozen and keep for up to one year in the freezer.
